The Tamanu and its authentic perfume have been used for centuries in the Polynesian islands. It is well known to heal and promote the formation of new skin tissue. It has antiviral, anti-clotting, and antibiotic properties as well as being anti-inflammatory. Widely used as a traditional topic aid for burns and dry skin, it is especially soothing for the skin after sun exposure. You begin with a body and facial wrap with our tamanu balm, monoï butter and citrus fruits essential oils. While this rich mask penetrates your skin, you will be treated with a gentle head or feet massage. A regenerating and energizing massage with sacred Tamanu oil concludes this treatment.

Polynesian people are celebrating water as a symbol for Life, Pureness and Transparency. Pomare, the Queen of Tahiti, used to dance under the rain, representing for her the tears of Heiva, Mother of Gods.
Te Ua Maohi, (storm in Tahitian), is an energizing experience. Lying under our rain shower, you will enjoy our Lagoon scrub with malachite stone and white sand from Bora Bora. You will then be wrapped into a monoï butter together with the antioxidant-scented oil of your choice. This treatment regenerates your body, hydrates and nourishes your skin, and boosts your tan. It is recommended to improve your skin’s firmness. The experience ends with a relaxing detox massage under the rain shower and the application of our exclusive moisturizing Noni Body Mousse on your body.

This very complete treatment invites you to an extraordinary journey towards Maohi legends.

Lying under our tropical rainstorm, you are first scrubbed with our Lagoon Sand Scrub, made of mineral rich algae combined with semi precious stones.  Our therapists, under the rain shower, rinse you off. Then, relax into a blissful body wrap using the sacred, healing Tamanu, or a scented monoï oil of your choice. While this mask is penetrating your skin, your scalp and feet are treated to a fabulous massage, leading to a full, traditional fifty-minute body massage; again with your choice of scented Monoï oil.

After the massage, delight in the luxurious sensation of a deep cleansing facial using locally grown hibiscus and Tiare flowers, including a coffee and Tahitian vanilla exfoliation. Finally, enjoy a facial and healing Tamanu mask, ideal for after sun care. A freshly prepared emulsion with flowers will leave you with a feeling of well-being and renewed energy.

The hair
The dark glossy hair of Polynesian women may have been best captured by Gauguin, but its source has long been credited to Monoï oil. The treatment consists of a gentle scalp scrub with coconut oil and powder followed by a head massage with coconut milk.   The oil is then left on the hair and wrapped in a warm towel while the therapist moves to the feet for an equally luxurious skin softening massage.
